Wagers above the posted limit have action only up to the limit. Exotic wagers have action only where the track offers that pool, and track maximums apply.

Review limits and pending wagers
Check the track’s limits
Caps vary by track rating and wager type. Confirm the maximum wager and payout for your track before you submit; anything above the limit has action only up to the limit.
Know the scratch rules
A scratched horse refunds that part of a win/place/show or exotic ticket. In a Pick 3, 4 or 6, a scratched leg gets the post-time favorite or the official consolation payoff.
Bet before post
Wagers placed after the official post time are void. Keep your ticket confirmations so any grading question is settled fast.
